We zijn verheugd een nieuwe managementstructuur aan te kondigen: sinds 1 september 2025 wordt Anima Eterna Brugge gezamenlijk geleid door een Zakelijk Directeur en een Artistiek Directeur
- Midori Seiler is benoemd tot Artistiek Directeur. Zij is al meer dan vijfentwintig jaar nauw verbonden met Anima Eterna Brugge als violiste en concertmeester, en werkte met Anima Eterna samen als gastdirigent.
- Dries Meerts zet zijn rol als Zakelijk Directeur voort, die hij in januari 2025 opnam.
Samen zullen zij de toekomstige koers van Anima Eterna Brugge bepalen.
Dank aan Ann Truyens
De afgelopen jaren heeft Ann Truyens de organisatie met vastberadenheid en moed geleid naar een nieuw begin. Zij legt nu haar functie als Algemeen Directeur neer, maar blijft Midori, Dries en het team minstens tijdens de komende maanden ondersteunen bij de implementatie van het nieuwe model. De raad van bestuur spreekt zijn oprechte dank uit voor de uitzonderlijke toewijding van Ann Truyens gedurende de afgelopen 17 jaar.

Première documentaire Music Beyond the Score
Op 3 september 2025 om 20.00 uur ging in Cinema Lumière Brugge de documentaire Music Beyond the Score – Discovering Romantic Authenticity in première. De film (regie: Steven Maes, in partnerschap met Motor Music) belicht het Robert & Clara Schumann-project met Midori Seiler en Kai Köpp.
De documentaire zal vanaf 12 september 2025 gratis beschikbaar zijn via Evil Penguin TV, zodat een breed publiek kan kennismaken met dit bijzondere project.

Anima Eterna Brugge – a new management team
We are happy to announce a new management structure: as of 1 September 2025, Anima Eterna Brugge will be led jointly by a Business Director and an Artistic Director.
- Midori Seiler has been appointed Artistic Director. She has been closely associated with Anima Eterna Brugge for over twenty five years as violinist and concertmaster, and in recent years has also worked with the orchestra as a guest conductor.
- Dries Meerts will continue in his role as Business Director which he started in January 2025.
Together, they will shape the future direction of Anima Eterna Brugge.
Grateful to Ann Truyens
In recent years, Ann Truyens has led the organisation with determination and courage towards a new beginning. She is now stepping down from her role as General Director, but will continue to support Midori, Dries, and the team at least in the coming months as the new model is put into practice. The board expresses its sincere gratitude for Ann Truyens’ exceptional dedication over the past 17 years.

Documentary Premiere: Music Beyond the Score
On 3 September 2025 at 8:00 p.m., the documentary Music Beyond the Score – Discovering Romantic Authenticity went in premiere at Cinema Lumière Bruges. Directed by Steven Maes in partnership with Motor Music, the film highlights the Robert & Clara Schumann project with Midori Seiler and Kai Köpp.
From 12 September 2025, the documentary will be available free of charge via Evil Penguin TV, making it accessible to a broad international public
