Jos van Immerseel Founding father, conductor and pianist of the ensemble. As AEB’s artistic director Jos lays out the artistic vision, plans projects and compiles concert programmes for upcoming years. In accordance with these programmes, he looks for the musicians with the most suitable instruments and experience for each project. He surveys and protects the artistic mission and musical choices of the orchestra. Jos van Immerseel is the owner of a unique collection of fortepianos that travel the world with him and the orchestra.
Ann Truyens General Manager Ann maps out the business policy to support AEB’s artistic mission and ambitions. She is responsible for concert sales, which includes taking good care of the network of international agents. Initiating fundraising opportunities and sponsorships, Ann is also responsible of the PR-department. She runs the office and communicates with supporting and subsidizing institutions.
Wim Claus AEB’s PR-man. Wim engages national and international media and coordinates initiatives to help people find their way to our concerts. He is responsible for fundraising projects and supports Ann in the organization of sponsorship events.
Bernard Cosemans Stage manager Bernard is responsible for the technical direction and takes care of all practical aspects of concerts, recordings and rehearsals, from drawing technical charts to transporting historical pianos.
Sigrid Gulix Since January this year (2012), Sigrid is taking care of the orchestra’s communication. She writes about everything that is happening on and off stage in different media e.g. the season’s brochure, programme notes, but also Anima’s website and facebook page. For everything to do with our audience, from social media to educational matters and crossover projects, she’s the one to turn to.
Nina Hanssens Nina handles personnel administration for both the office team and the musicians and takes care of all related financial and tax matters. Administrative difficulties resulting from Anima’s project based approach and working with internationally recruited musicians make Nina’s job an art in itself.
Luc Lefebure Last summer (2011), AEB welcomed Luc Lefebure into its office. Luc will be assisting Bregje for productions and take over some of the accountancy from Michèle, who recently left us.
Bregje Stockbroekx Bregje is the head and the heart of productions. She invites musicians for projects and is responsible for the logistics of each production. She plans projects, organizes travel and accomodation, makes sure everyone receives their music on time and is the charming link between the office and the musicians.
Anima’s team is a tight network – all of us have their speciality, none of us can do without the other.
