Through this initiative, the federal government aims to encourage investment in culture. From now on, organisations such as Anima Eterna Brugge can raise additional funding from Belgian companies, which benefit from a tax deduction in exchange.
While investors can rely on a guaranteed return of around 10%, the income from the tax shelter is essential for Anima to enable it to continue its success story. The orchestra’s international reputation now stretches from Mexico to Sydney, New York and Japan: a worldwide network of music lovers who will be able to enjoy even more music thanks to the additional funding.
So the tax shelter is a triple win: an opportunity for the podium arts sector, a wider range for the public and a fine return for investors.
